Repetitive and forceful motions like lifting weights can cause inflammation of a tendon called tendinitis (also tendonitis). When Joe Rogan experienced nagging pain in his inner right elbow, he tried to “meathead his way through it” and continued to work out as normal. That only made his elbow tendinitis worse. Eventually it got to the point where he was unable to do chin-ups or any heavy lifting for months and had to focus on running and yoga instead.

To treat his elbow tendinitis, Rogan tried expensive procedures like stem cell therapy and Regenokine. But the most effective treatment also happened to be the cheapest, a TheraBand FlexBar. By performing one exercise with the FlexBar multiple times per day and applying a CBD topical lotion, he was able to significantly reduce his elbow pain and get back to doing chin-ups.

Rogan discussed his elbow tendinitis issues and treatment with Brian Redban in JRE #1113 @ 1:10:52.

The TheraBand FlexBar is a simple and effective therapy device for treating elbow tendinitis including both Golfer’s Elbow (inner pain) and Tennis Elbow (outer pain). It has been clinically-proven to reduce elbow pain while increasing tendon strength and can also be used for grip strength training.

A FlexBar is simply a 12-inch long piece of rubber with ridges for gripping. FlexBars come in varying levels of resistance (extra light, light, medium and heavy) determined by the diameter and indicated by color. Joe Rogan uses the blue TheraBand FlexBar with heavy resistance, requiring 25lbs of force to bend into a U-shape.

The main exercise performed with a TheraBand FlexBar is called the Tyler Twist, as demonstrated in the video below:
