Once again, The Joe Rogan Experience ranked as Spotify’s Most Popular Podcast Globally in 2023.
Notable JRE Guests
In 2023, the JRE podcast hosted several legendary professional wrestlers including Hulk Hogan (#2024), The Rock (#2063), Ric Flair (#1974), and Kurt Angle (#2036).
Other notable first-time guests included retired UFC champions Daniel Cormier (MMA Show #150) and Dan Henderson (MMA Show #149), OpenAI’s Sam Altman (#2044), presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. (#1999), and singer-songwriter Jelly Roll (#1987).
Elon Musk returned in 2023 for his 4th appearance (#2054). Also returning to the podcast were artist David Choe (#1965), author Graham Hancock (#2051), psychologist Jordan Peterson (#1933), magician David Blaine (#2056), musician Post Malone (#2018) as well as rappers B-Real (#1939) and Killer Mike (#2003).
Number of JRE Podcast Episodes in 2023
There were 184 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast released in 2023 (JRE #1919 to #2080). This number includes 18 x JRE MMA Shows (MMA Show #134 to #151) and 4 x JRE Fight Companion podcasts (UFC 284, UFC on ESPN 50/Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz, UFC 293, UFC 294 & UFC 297).
There were six more episodes in 2023 compared to 2022. This was the first increase in the number of episodes from the previous year after declining for three consecutive years.

Shane Gillis had the most JRE guest appearances in 2023 with seven. This is due to his participation in 4 x Protect Our Parks episodes (with Ari Shaffir and Mark Normand) as well as 3 x standalone episodes including one with Matt McCusker.

The Bible was once again the most mentioned book on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2023.
